Junior School Council

Our Student Council is comprised of two elected members from each Year 2 to 6 class. They meet regularly during the term to make decisions about a variety of aspects of our school. These members represent the voices of their classmates and report back in regular class meetings.

Student Council empowers members to be a part of meaningful change and fosters student voice, agency and leadership for all involved. They organise fundraising activities for a range of important organisations, including State School Relief, as well to support our World Vision sponsor child from Zimbabwe, Xolani.

Just a few of the achievements that Student Council have accomplished so far are:

  • Organising activities for a whole school Footy Day celebration
  • Planning a whole school Aboriginal Day to celebrate and acknowledge our Indigenous community
  • Developing chants to represent our school’s house colour teams and build team unity
  • Creating videos to educate others on Student Voice, Agency and Leadership
  • Designing whole school competitions, such as colouring competitions and designing banners for our school
  • Organising the Victorian Police band to come and perform for our school
