Term 3 Week 10

Principal's Message

Dear Families,

The days are getting longer, the sun is shining on a Friday morning, and we are just about to complete another term of school. We’ve had a wonderfully busy term and nearly completed the major works around the school. Thanks to everyone who has contributed to the school improvements with your support and flexibility.

Library Opening – We have had a wonderful group of mum’s and staff helping set the library up, ready to be back in service next term. This group have worked tirelessly to make the space look amazing! Sometimes they have started early in the day and not stopped. Many have been in every day this week, and some more. I’d love to list the names, because their efforts have been so appreciated, but I’m worried I may miss someone. Thank you for getting our library ready to be backup and running. Books are so important for our students learning and growth and we look forward to having the library open, Monday October 5^th, 2026.

Building works - During the school holidays we will have some works completed around our school. These will involve:

Completion of new landscaping, with seating around garden beds.
Safety fencing to be removed around the school.
Completion of painting of the portables, externally.
New drainage and roofing works completed.

Early Dismissal – Friday September 18^th at 2:30pm A reminder to families that school will be dismissed at 2:30pm on Friday September 18^th. We would ask that arrangements are made to collect your child/ren by 2:45pm at the latest. If you cannot do this, please contact Camp Australia to make a booking for Out of School Hours Care.

Happy holidays - On behalf of all the staff we would like to wish all students and families a wonderful holiday. It has been a great Term Three at Mount Waverley Primary School, and we look forward to this continuing in Term Four.
