Level 4 - Years 5 & 6

At Level 4 students are now in the senior levels of the school. They develop skills which will prepare them for transition into secondary school. Students have the opportunity to be leaders and mentors for their junior peers.

Level 4 students, as all students in our school, are treated as individuals. We recognize students learn at different rates and have expertise and skills in different areas. However, we have high expectations of each child and support them to develop positive self-esteem and achieve their best academically, physically, artistically and socially.

 As students are becoming more complex thinkers they are able to participate in and lead small group activities and learn more deeply by undertaking more extended projects.

 To facilitate the development of leadership skills students are involved in a wide range of programs and activities including:

·        Leaders of Tomorrow Program

·        Year 6 Production

·        Relationships Program

·        Year 6 Camp

·        Organising and implementing a mini-fete

·        ’Work Experience’
